Torne Park, Rossington
The building of new homes on the former Rossington colliery site – now known as Pheasant Hill Park – forms a key part of a wider ‘Gateway to the Sheffield City region’ programme.
Working on behalf of Harworth, JRP were commissioned to produce the detailed masterplan for this Pheasant Hill Park which led to the outline planning permission being granted for 1,200 new homes in addition to a mix of commercial and community uses including a hotel, restaurant, fast food outlet, petrol filling station, community building and a school. Working with Doncaster Council, we developed a detailed design code to ensure high design quality and consistency for the site wide plan.
Since the granting of the outline permission, JRP have subsequently been commissioned by Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Homes to provide detailed design and planning services for three of the initial phases comprising over 430 homes. Development is well underway on those parcels.
Working with Harworth, we continue to evolve the wider masterplan to changing market demands and in preparation of future land sales.
