Wheldon Road, Castleford

JRP were appointed by the landowner to deliver architectural and planning services. This is an exciting development of over 1400 houses and mixed-use development. We continue to work closely with the developer to deliver this project through its many stages. The site has recently gained outline planning consent for up to 1,400 dwellings (Use Class C3), extra care provision (Use class C2) and a local centre (Use Classes A1 to A4, C1 and D1) Public Open Space and leisure facilities. Working with the Local Authority we have evolved the outline masterplan for the whole site and developed detailed designs for Phase 1 setting the scene for a high-quality development which takes advantage of the potential this Riverside project has to offer. Visiting Germany as the basis of our inspiration, JRP designed each house type and produced a full set of planning and working drawings for each.

We also look forward to overseeing the construction stage, making site visits and working with on-site contractors to ensure a high-quality build.
