Hollins Bank, Hemsworth

JRP produced a concept masterplan in support of the outline planning application. This features sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) and significant areas of open space and habitat enhancement on the western boundary to maintain ecological connectivity. A key design objective is to enhance pedestrian links for new and existing residents to promote access to leisure and amenity activities at Vale Head Park and Hemsworth Water Park. This will be achieved via green corridors through the site and would provide access to public transport on Wakefield Road. Landscaping and active frontage on Wakefield Road seeks to create an attractive entrance to the town.
